does anyone have any experience with the above mentioned plate carrier and 10x12 plates? How well do they fit and if you came up with something to "tighten" up the plates what did you use? Or if anyone has any experience with 10x12 plates in a carrier how did you remedy this problem if at all.

I've got a 6094B with med Ceradyne made SAPI's and Velocity System backers and they fit fine. Not a perfect fit up top (see pic) but good enough for government work...

You risk the chance of the plate falling out with 10x12 if you try to ride it up high. The plate flops around if you have a lot of velcro contract on the flap as it will be low with a lot of empty space. This annoys the hell out of me, as I like everything cinched down tight. Loose gear eats up energy you want elsewhere. That's just me.

You'll want an 11x14 to properly secure the plate with a 6094B to keep it from bouncing around, up nice and high securely.

If you are committed to the 10x12, you'd be better off with the 6094A

I must have misread the sizing wrong. How well will a 10x12 fit inside the 6094A?

if you plan on buying new, just make sure you ask for SAPI cut carrier because the default is swimmer cut. I visit LBT often. Call their retail side up, ask for Sam, and he'll get you squared away.

Will fit perfect. No worries. Great kit.

A second for just giving them a call - the array of things they carry, in available cuts and colors is dizzying, but they can sort that out for you over the phone like it's cool.

I am also interested in the LBT so I can ditch our current SWAT vest/carrier setup. Those of you who have used the 6094, what can you tell me about it as far as running, moving, long durations of wearing it, comfort etc?

How necessary is it to get the LBT belt that supports the vest?

And the 6094A is for 10x12 plates? Thanks. Glad I found this company they sound sturdy. I break everything.

is the carrier an off the shelf configuration and what style plates are you running swimmers or shooters cut?

It's an 6094A (thought it was a 6094B, just checked the tag) with the internal triple mag pouch. Running medium Ceradyne standard issue SAPI (not ESAPI's), my vest seems to be an older one designed for large swimmers cut, but it works. I added soft armor in the cummerbund made from side plate backers, otherwise it's stock.

now it makes more sense, now im not so worried about running the plates since you can get them in a swimmers cut or shooters cut configuration, thanks for the quick replies Mr. Kaltesherz
