i have recently found it a desirable feature to have a light that tail stands. my reasons are as follows.

accidental discharge is mitigated in both travel and operational use

tail standing a light in a room can have the candle effect (light splash off ceiling to light a room)

can we list the reliable, tail stand-able lights available on the market? i'll start with what i've been able to find from surefire.

surefire e2d defender
surefire vtac-l4
surefire mini-vtac-l4

can we also list the potential fixes/mods? i'll start with the surefire tailcaps i've been able to find.

there's a variety of hobby switches from ultrafire and spiderfire that i can't seem to find individual purchase links for.

buying a piece of 3/4" clear, rubber or other hose, cutting it to the right length and shoving it over the tail cap for a friction fit.

fenix seems to be a fairly popular brand, but their tail caps are much harder to find. actually surefire seems to be the most prominent when it comes to aftermarket tail caps.
