Thought everyone would like to see a video of the new DBAL-D2 compared to a PEQ-15. The D2 is heads and tails of the old civilan I2 laser and outperforms the LEO/MIL PEQ-15 in almost every aspect. Ident is proud to be involved with the development and happy to help bring this laser to market. For years this is what we wanted for the LEO and civilian market- A very high performance IR laser/illuminator that maintains the FDA Class 1 eyesafe rating. Here's the video and if you want to know more about the laser pricing, delivery schedule and preorders give us a call.

I'm glad to see these coming to the civilian market. The only problem I have with it is I can't afford night vision to begin with lol, still cool tho. Hopefully night vision come will down in price within the next few years.

So are the IR and visible lasers separate or are they slaved to each other (i.e. zero one and the other is zeroed too)?

Yes, the visible and the ir lasers move together. You bore sight the visible laser during the day to your day optic and you will be good to go at night.

Is there no activation button on the top like the I2?

It's on the back of the illuminator.
