LT619 X200/X300 QD Mount (http://www.laruetactical.com/larue-tactical-qd-mount-surefire-x200x300-lights)

I have been considering using this mount for my X300. I want to be able to switch it between carbines (depending on which I am using as my "Trunk Gun").

My biffest concern is since I prefer to mount my lights at the 12 o'clock position (with or without the "A" frame fsb); does it add to the X300's height? If it does then it's a non-started since i would probably take up too much of my Aimpoint Micros' FOV.

TIA.

Should be in the lights forum I think, but the Larue mount raises the X300 so it interferes with the A2 post, so its not good for a 12oclock mounting position.

why do you want to use this qd mount?

1+ on the why question. My X300 came with a universal mount and a Picatinny mount. Why not just put the pic mounting hardware on there and call it a day? Does the reflector housing not allow the light to be mounted further back on a hand rail or something?

Exactly as Ronin stated, the LT mount elevates the X300 further. I'd run the stock X300 mounting with the P spacer, you'll barely see the top of it through an LT660, and run from there. I can move them from carbine to carbine, and even to pistols without an issue.

Sorry, I kinda lost this thread.

I was looking to mount it directly behind an A-frame FSB at 12 o'clock. But that's before a bowling ball hit me upside my head and I realized that I can remove the top rail and use the factory mount.

Thanks for the responses.
