My wife gave me my Christmas present early this year, a new S&W 340PD. This is the scandium framed snubby with the titanium cylinder. Weight is 12 ounces and can fire full power magnum loads. My brother was home for a few days so she gave it to me so we could have a day at the range.
I fired 60 rounds of 158gr LRN 38spcl., and 15 rounds of 125gr+p Golden Sabers. While the gun let you know you pulled the trigger it was not uncontrollable. As a matter of fact it was the most accurate snubby I have fired to date.
