Definitely wins the Rare Bird prize, but for $12k it may be awhile before I own one.

Hmmm....

Even I, as an avowed Century hater might buy that... :D

Steyr, you don't by any chance happen to have twelve grand that you could lend me do you..? :D

Definitely a collector’s item, I’ve never come across one. I knew some came state side, how many were imported? I'd say less than 20?

If the Sturm listing is accurate, less than 200.

There were indeed fewer than 200 imported. I remember reading about it when it was first imported.

I got the chance to fire a few rounds through one at a range a long time ago. This was after the import of further examples of the gun had been banned. I remember liking it, but not overcome with the need to buy one.

It was built in France and imported as it was built.

It was a century import from 1989 before the import-ban so it was not buggered by Century gunsmiths trying to mix in American parts or slap foreign parts together with American parts to resemble some foreign gun.

I'm aware of that, Century has been importing for a long time. It's just funny to call it a Century gun given the now common association with shitty parts kit builds.
