Questions on .300 whisper

I am thinking about converting my AR to .300 whisper. Do any changes have to be made to the feedramps on the barrel extension to get the larger bullets to feed right? What accuracy should I expect with a good barrel shooting 220 grain subsonic rounds? Because of the large bore and low powder charge should this round have a long barrel life?
