Am I the only one excited about the Handi Rifle in .300 BLK? Pair that with the new Hunter can and you've got a pretty inexpensive way to get into .300 BLK.

I already told my young son that rifle would make a good first gun for him to take deer hunting.

Like you said, throw a cheaper can on it and it gets a person into the .300 BLK quite impressively.

I really like the new 90 tooth mount. Not so sure about the cutouts in the tube that expose the baffle stack. I would love to hear more about this. Was there a specific reason for this or was it done solely for aesthetic reasons?

ETA: Quote from Jason on ST:
" I think they look very cool in person. Of course, the purpose is weight reduction up there, so material can be added to the blast chamber area to increase strength where pressure is the hghest without increasing overall weight."

It apparently lets them reinforce other areas without adding more weight.

I'm not sure how much of a difference that little bit of material makes, but I doubt it has any real affect on function.

That is pretty neat, but the one big advantage of 330 BLK over 7.62x39 is the ability to run subsonic loads from a magazine in an autoloader.

As a reloader, comparing two single shot break-barrels, one in 7.62x39 and one in 300 BLK, there doesn't seem to be as much of an advantage. If you've already got a 300 BLK coolguy gun, then I'd lean towards the 300 BLK Handi Rifle too. BUT, if you're already got a big pile of .311" projos and dies for 7.62x39, then have fun with your commie single shot ;)

So is AAC no longer making an M4-1000?

Their catalog doesn't list one.

Not having an 18T option is scary, Vato!!!

I don't know Euro...taking the amount of removed steel from the front shell of the tube and adding it to the thickness of the first baffle or two could possibly make a pretty good difference in durability.

In theory, it sounds like a pretty slick idea to me.

Love the looks of the SR7 and the 90T system looks promising.

From what I read on TOS, expect them to be "promising" in JANUARY 2013 and most likely not before then. :suicide:

That sucks the MINI7 is goin to use the old mounting system...

Was hopin' for a smaller/lighter-than-SR7 option for my 300BLK.

Now I'm VERY glad I went with the 8.2.

Here we are over 6 months from SHOT. Has anyone even seen a 90T mount retail?

Don't think so. Last I heard, the 90T mount and SR5 / SR7 were shelved indefinitely. Too bad, I'd like to see something compete with the new SF mount at a non Surefire price.

I saw one of these at a LGS last week. It is super cool. It looks like an SBR without the can.

This fear is what prompted me to pick up two more 18T Blackouts from my C3 last week.

Gotta cover all the AR's or my OCD won't let me sleep.

I just ordered and got Ship confirmation on an 18T Brake straight from AAC's site.

I'm in disbelief that this could be real.

Could those slappies actually do something that doesn't alienate their old customers?

I still have an unfired M4-1000 08 model in the safe.

.

We can hope. I've also got a 762SD that I was able to pick up an extra 18T for and it works great on my SCAR 17S. I do need to pick up one more as the plan was to run that can also on a .300 black. But Noveske sold out of their 10" barrels just prior to my going on their site to place an order.

I have to say I really have got some use out of that older 762. M1A, SCAR, various AR's, and hopefully the Noveske when things get back in stock.

Can anyone tell me if AAC is finally making a 3 lug mount for the TiRant?

The only photo I've even seen from AAC's shot show presence was a single handi-rifle pic. No news, no catalog, no silencers, no adapters, nada. I got pissed waiting this entire year for SR5/7 stuff, so much so that I bought Surefire Socoms that I'm happy to know actually exist instead.

I had considered a TiRant way back so I feel for you. If the news about Taurus being a buyer for Freedom is any indication, perhaps next SHOT, AAC will have a line of .410 suppressors ;)

There's at least pictures of one in the thread linked in the first post.

Whether it's out there for purchase or not...? I think that thread started in 2012.

I had never seen that pic before. Your right, its been over a year since that picture was posted. I hope they release it soon and doesn't get put on the back-burner any longer.

I wouldn't hold your breath with AAC. I had a 90 tooth 556 can on order for 4 months last year from them and I just gave up. I told them to just send me an sdn-6 and that took 9 months. I'm still trying to find a 51T muzzle break.

Those idiots actually had 18T 5.56 brakes. I got mine and have it installed already.

I can't believe it.

I just got rid of mine a couple weeks ago. It's been languishing in a drawer since I got it when Maj. Malfunction marketed them years back.
