Have a new flat top upper that has an "L" Stamped on the rear lug. Dry film lubed inside. Was wondering if anyone knows who makes the upper with the rear lug ID with an "L".
Upper has a problem was why I was wondering who manufactured it. Thanks for any insight.

Curious,

A quick google search turned up that the mark you are looking at may very well be a variation of a forging mark, essentially marks placed on uppers to identify their manufacture. According to the website I was looking at, an "L" or LMT mark/stamp means it is an LMT upper. For your reference I got my information from here: http://www.thehighroad.org/archive/index.php/t-519125.html

Best of luck,

Yes it is marked as the one in the photo. Just a rear take down pin hole problem. Does not line up on any brand lower it was tried on including a Colt.

I believe it's LAR and they have been seen on various AR's.

As long as it doesn't mean LWRCi, then don't sweat it! :)
