Buck Mossie is a former United States Marine Corps Infantryman who deployed to both Southeast and Southwest Asia with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Special Operations Capable. He currently is a member of a large Metropolitan Law Enforcement Agency in Southern California, where in addition to having worked a variety of field assignments, he has also served as a California Peace Officers Standards and Training (CA P.O.S.T.) Certified Master Firearms Instructor for over a decade.

Mossie Tactics 2-Day Level 2 Low Light Carbine Class - SoCal - April 28th & 29th, 2012
This is a two day course for AR Rifle / Carbine. Topics covered will include the four basic firearms safety rules, the seven principals of marksmanship as they relate to the rifle / carbine, the manual of arms, tactical two point sling techniques, shooting positions, reloads, malfunction clearances, transitions, shooting on the move, movement based skill drills, and night fire. Courses of fire to be used are based on the skill level and evaluation of the shooters. The shooter will leave the course with a firm grasp on their personal strengths and weaknesses, and skill drills to help them improve. Although not a requirement, it is strongly recommend that you take the Carbine 1 class before Carbine 2. You will see some of the same skill drills, but in Carbine 2 they are taken to a much higher level and done in the dark.

Class Requirements:
- Eye & Ear protection (electronic hearing protection is strongly recommended)
- Serviceable carbine - 9mm, 45 ACP, 30 cal, 5.56 mm, or 7.62 x 39mm
- A weapon mounted light is preferred; however, a hand held light may be utilized.
- Serviceable sling- tactical two point type preferred
- Minimum 1 magazine pouch - or method to carry 2 spare magazine(s)
- Minimum of 3 serviceable magazines (5 is better)
- 800 rounds of carbine ammunition, 100 rounds of handgun
- Suitable range wear depending on the season
- Good attitude
