My Barrel..Should I be worried?

I would think he is refering to what looks like rust begining to build up on the lower parts in between the rail.

Looks real dry for sure....Get a can of Break Free CLP aerosol and hose it down a bit.Take a strip of cloth and thread it through the holes in the rail to rub it down and remove excess/containants.If the HG does not have a end cap you can use a bore mop and rod as well.Or at least that has worked for me.

The Break Free CLP aerosol is very thin and evaporates/flashes off rather quickly,especially during use,so any excess remaining inside the rail will be gone perty quick,but its a verygood protectant.Reapply as needed.

The Troy extreme rails are very easy to remove.
Pull it off, clean up the barrel, rub on a good protectant/rust preventative and reinstall HG.
You will need to rezero your rail mounted front buis, but it's worth it to save the barrel from being unecessarily damaged.
Rust is never a good thing.
