Hey guys, I just got done looking at a TR24 (triangle reticle) and a Leupold VX-R firedot (I think 1.5-4 or something). I have an astigmatism and wear contacts that correct my vision but not the astigmatism.
So here's the problem. I could adjust the diopter on 1x on the TR24 so that I could see the reticle and the target clearly, but when I'd go to 4x, I could only see either/or clear, but not both. I either had to focus on the triangle or it would appear as a starburst type thing. Do you have to adjust the diopter when going from 1x to 4x, am I doing something wrong with the focus of my eyes, or does it sound more like a vision problem with my eyes?
*Edit to Add: The VX-R Firedot's dot was pretty much completely useless for me. It looked like the sun itself was exploding lol.
