I didn't take pics, but it is noticeably lighter and easier to handle. Very nice indeed, I just hope that they put a QD sling-swivel mount at the rear of the rail and not just one up front. Otherwise a damn decent rifle. Now if my finances come together...
When I checked it out, it was like a Daniel Defense MRF rail(DD's answer to Troys TRX) and I REALLY liked it.

I agree...I can't see them making essentially a perfect rifle and then totally FAIL by not putting rear built in QD cups.
That is like fumbling the damn ball on the 1yd line right before you cross the goal line.

I'll be danged! LMT is offering 243 and 338 Federal barrels! I have wanted such and was planning to get a 243 upper for my Rock River. Now I think I will get rid of the RR and get a couple of LMT uppers or a complete gun and an upper. I liked the lower weight of the RR but with this new system LMT will be more appealing.
Any word if they are going to sell just the LM8 uppers for us MWS owners out there?

This thread is a year old. Specs, pics and everything that you would need to know is all over this site and several others...
weight of the 308 version?
Heavy.
On another note, they told me if I ordered a rifle today I wouldn't see it until 2014 or 2015. I asked about stripped lowers or complete uppers or lowers. "No parts. Just complete uppers, lowers, or guns, and same time frame."
I almost asked them, "Why are you here?"
