I get the opportunity to do a lot of lever guns this one is one that you should see.
The gun was a little on the tired side but it still had life to give so I went to work on it.

What do you think of it?

It is a small 1894 to be certain it is a 16.5 that started life 20 inches long it was fun to do the stock work on it started out so plane but I think it came out nice.

I like the looks of your custom lever actions. If I was inclined to use a levergun for home defense that's the way I'd want it set up. Add and Aimpoint H1 to the rail.

Have you had to overcome any issues with the sight setup that you use not having enough elevation adjustment? When I was considering a 44 mag 1894 a while ago that was one of the things that I read about regarding XS sights on the lever actions.

This would be my ideal deer gun. Very beautiful. If you don't mind could you pm your cost/lead time to do something like this?

Great job on that Marlin. My deer gun is an 1894PG in .44 with an Ashley peep. It is nice and light.
