Bbl question to BigBore

Maybe there are other members who have this same question so I'll post it here.

Still have not decided if I want to recontour a bbl to make it lighter. This question is address to BigBore because if I decide to recontour this bbl I'll ship it to ADCO, but anyone that want to help me with this issue is welcome :) .

I have a Wilson SS 16" HBAR with midlength gas system. Do you know how much this bbl weights? (I dont want to disassemble this upper just to weight the bbl, but I know that after a few hours shooting and running with this AR my non shooting "weak" arm starts to feel the weight). I'm thinking in a mediun contour (like the Noveske bbl) under the handguard. How much weight this saves?

Any input will be appreciated.

currently you have a 3lb barrel.


The lightest I would contour it down to would shave just over 1/4lb

If its a blaster, the light contoured mid chrome lined barrel is 2lbs.

Talk me more about this barrel: manufacturer, twist, accuracy, price...

If burning tons of all kinds of ammo (exept Wolf) and playing with it like a kid crawling throug the dirt makes it a blaster... IT IS.
