i got a phone call from a friend tuesday who was in a bind, he was having car trouble and was in need of some quick cash. he asked me if id be interested in buying a Sig pistol hed bought last weekend that had 0 rounds thru it. i was a little hesitant due to some of the issues they'd had with the early ones (soft slides, poorly designed recoil spring, mag issues, and issues with the feed ramp), but after doing a little homework and checking the serial numbers to make sure it was a newer one (2011) and checking it for the new flat recoil spring and redesigned mag i decided to help him out. he said he would let it go for $450 even tho he paid $580 + tax for this little gun w/nite sights and the rosewood grips.

took this gun and my 2nd LCP (my girl has "confiscated my 1st as hers :D) i had bought sunday out wednesday and i will admit, so far the little Sig is a shooter. i had one FTFeed in the first mag i put thru it, but it definitely smoothed out and functioned like a champ from then on. 250+ rounds of various ammo and zero malfunctions.

10 yd 1 1/2" groups was pretty much the norm, and with the Hornady CD ammo i was able to cut that in half. when i stepped out to 20 yards they opened up to just under 4". very acceptable for a small pistol imo. recovery time between shots is very quick and the 3 dot sights are very easy to pickup. i will get out to the farm in the next couple days and will post more results when i get to put more rounds downrange. so as of now i can say, so far so good.

Nice! I have a Sig P238 that I've had for a couple years and it is a sweet shooter! I've put over 1,000 rounds through it with zero malfunctions. For a pocket pistol, they are very smooth shooting guns with good sights. I've been nothing but pleased with mine.

My mom has one. It has one failure to eject in 500 rounds. It has almost zero felt recoil compared to it's competitors, and has real sights which is a plus. I would only use a gun that size for a BUG though, and I personally don't think a safety (especially a single sided safety) belongs on a BUG.
