I went to the store today with the intention of buying a HK45c, which I didn't end up doing for unrelated reasons, but the gun store commando told me something I don't think is true (shocking I know). He said the HK45 and 45c will shoot .45 Super ammunition. I've never heard this myth before. It's not true is it?

Any .45 will shoot .45 Super... since the dims are the same.
How long it will shoot it without breaking is an entirely different question. With that said, I shot .45 Super from Buffalo Bore out of my HK45 and it didn't seem to give a shit. For a steady diet of .45 Super you'll want a USP .45 with an 18lb spring or an out of the box MK23. Shooting Super out of the USP .45 after shooting the HK45 made you go "oh that is better." Shooting the MK23 after the USP .45 made you go " Holy shit that is like half of the felt recoil compared to the USP!"

H&K's are built a little bit better than your average bear.

I forgot to add shooting .45 Super is super addicting, and if you don't reload, costly. :(
