I just read a article in the latest edition of America's 1st Freedom about the new Polarion helios flashlight. It can produce up to 4150 lumens! and it's about the size of a 3 D-cell mag light. The article also states it can illuminate objects up to a mile away!More models are on the way.

I know it's pricey but imagine the tactical or rescue uses it could fill. If they design a Infra red lense you could light up a building or vehicle for proper ID when using night vision or use it to blind bad guys coming at your position to give you that split second to win the fight. In a rescue situation it could help you locate a lost child over long distances or signal help to your position from high flying air craft, the uses are endless.
