And does it require removing the handguard cap, because it doesnt look like it is on there.

There are many but the DD omega rail rules the roost.:D

that's not a DD Omega, the rail in the picture isn't continuous on top and the DD rail has text on the bottom half, not the top.

Judging by the choice in VFG, it's also probably a cheap off-brand rail.
