I have seen alot people use TAC, H335, Varget, Ball-C, and W748 but it seems people do not use any Accurate powders. I got 32 pounds for $240 bucks (3 AA2230 and 1 AA2460) and one #8 of Ramshot Xterminator (99.00) local from a kid selling his reloading stuff. I am going to work them up but is there a reason why these powders are not used that much or is it just avalibility of IMR, Winchester, Hodgon powders?

I know I used H335 alot because I could get one pounders for $13.00 with 10% military discount but now that deal is gone because I do not live in LA anymore.

2230 has been a popular powder. A lot of people used the 2230-C (just a tad slower than 2230) years ago, that was the best deal going, but when it was gone, it was gone.

2460 is slower, that might work for heavier weight bullets, but competition shooter seem to gravitate to varget or other extruded powders when launching 75-80 grain pills.

I take it Accurate no longer makes 2230?

2230 is still available, but the 2230-C is not.

occassionally AA mfg's or gets hold of surplus powders and markets it. It's a fixed quantity, so when it's gone, it's gone.

2230-C and Data 68 were sold for awhile but are no more.

I ordered some DATA 85 because I am new to the 30.06. If I like it then its going to be sad with I cannot get it any longer.
