In this particular test, how much difference (if any) would a hammer-forged barrel have made?
Regarding your question, I have no idea. However, this caught my eye:
There was also a noticeable drooping (about 1 inch at the muzzle) of the barrel just prior to the barrel rupture.
:eek: Note to self: if you ever notice that your M16 barrel's so hot it's drooping down an inch, stop firing.
Man, just reading about these tests makes me cringe. Very interesting, though.
