I've been having trouble locating holsters for my M&P9 and my wife's M&P9c. First American Ord. does not have the Mitch Rosen holsters I'm looking for (5JR or 5JR Pres.).

Galco's Concealable is a bit pricey @ $94, so is Kramer's belt scabard @ $118.

High Noon has a few good looking models for a decent price but something like a 10-20 week wait.

Don Hume has a few good looking models as well for even less green. I've sent them an email to inquire about availability, waiting for reply.

I tried to fit a handgun to a Don Hume years ago and can only remember it being SUPER tight.

I thought I saw a pic here of M&P's with Don Hume's.

How is the fit?

Do they need a serious massage to help with break in?

Any suggestions of any kind please.

Milt Sparks are gtg as well but the wait is currently 20-26 weeks!

You might wanna try Kydex though, faster turnaround time. I use a Comp-tac C-TAC on my M&P9. Works very well for me.

Don Hume's JIT for a S&W Sigma fits my M&P Compact perfectly. This is a really versatile holster, here is a list of guns that I've personally fit in it:

S&W Sigma
S&W M&P Compact
S&W M&P 45
Glock 19 (it will fit all Glocks)
Beretta 92 series (including the Vertec)

For $20 you can't beat it.

Go with Kydex. Raven makes an excellent holster for less than $60. I received mine in less than 1 week.

Leather is for old fat guys who wear polyester pants, corduroy jackets, shirts with butter fly collars, and still carry .38 revolvers with round nose lead bullets :D

C'mon get with the times, this isn't an episode of "Welcome Back Kotter"

That's how all good holsters start out.

I've had two blade techs for previous Glocks and loved them, however for concealment I've not found one that will pull the gun as tight to my side as leather. Most of my concealment holsters have been Galco or Mitch Rosen in either IWB or open top belt holsters. For my Bday my wife is going to get me a Blackhawk tactical serpa for the M&P9. But for it's size I would like something to pull it tight for concealment as this will be it's most common carry. People tend to look at me funny when wearing a tactical thigh holster in public;)

I like the looks of it.

Kind of like a Milt-Sparks VMII clone at a better price and I'm sure wait times.

Kevin Manley (http://www.kdholsters.com/products.php) makes kick ass leather. Wait is about five months. He will make them for the M&P family.

I recently picked up a Canute for my G19 because it looked very close in concept to my favorite holster, the Milt Sparks Watch 6, a close relative to the VM2.

I'm very happy with it so far, especially when I realized it was tuckable and I could wear it with a polo shirt.

I prefer leather for IWB. If you can't find anything M&P specific, some stuff for the 9mm Glocks will work. From what I can tell, all of the 45 Glock holsters are a good fit.

FWIW, the Canute I have (for a G17) nicely fits my 19 and fits my M&P 9mm, although it's very tight. It'd loosen up over time, I'm sure.

When I need a holster fast, I normally go with the Galco Concealable (if Galco makes one for the gun I need it for, of course).

LA Police Gear has the Concealable for $77.56. (http://www.lapolicegear.com/gacobeho.html)

I ordered the MTAC from Minotaur Holsters for my M&P9c a while back and it is the most comfortable and concealable holsters I've worn, especially here on the west coast of FL. It disappears even when wearing a polo.

I use a Bulman TSA and mag carrier. Very nice gear. I have the same setup for a 1911.
