I have a Mk18 factory SBR in 10.3" , I was thinking about buying a second upper for it, and I really like the LWRC PSD in 6.8 SPC.

will that upper fit properly on the DD MK18 lower receiver?

The PSD upper in 6.8 will fit fine. I have two shooting buddies who have them on their LWRC SBR's.

The only issue they have is finding low cost ammo to keep them fed.

Unless you are Mr. Moneybaggs, the only way to affordably shooting 6.5, 6.8, 300blk, or .308 is to reload. Reloading 6.8 will only cost you around $.20 a shot for training loads.

They can afford it. I can't so I reload.

Where do you think I get all the free SSA/Hornady once fired 6.8 brass from? :D
