Is anyone producing a single point with the Cobra style buckle release like on the Vicker's 2 point?

The only gun left that I run a single point on is a shotgun and I don't fully trust the fastex not to send the muzzle into the dirt someday.

Honestly, if you have a single point sling you currently own and like, order a 1" Cobra Buckle from Para Gear and bring/send it to have it stitched in the place of the fast-ex buckle.

Most fast-ex buckles will take 2X the weight that they are actually used for. Have you ever heard of a product(like a sling) being recalled because the buckle was breaking, causing the weapon to drop? I haven't. Unless you need the capability to hang your entire body weight from your weapon sling...you don't really need the cobra buckle.

ditto to David P's recommendation for going with Blue Force Gear

The only time I've had major issues with fastex is in the cold, but I am still loath to use them unless I have to one anything I really care about (like a weapon)

companies recall faulty vehicles and baby toys with lead, not slings that have a fast-ex buckle break. you take those to your local rigger and have em fix it.

its not a matter of if a buckle breaks, its when and how convenient of a time will the buckle actually break.
on another note, i have seen guys accidently release their fast-ex sling many times before and judging from the look on their faces it wasnt the greatest feeling in the world. i used to run a single point with plastic hardware and a fast-ex until i went to paragear and got myself a cobra buckle, like you mentioned above.

i dont **** around with anything that will directly affect my ability to stay alive, you never know when you will be hanging your entire body weight on your sling... hence the metal hardware on mine

We are going to make thm up as ordered. We will do khaki, blk, od, and foliage but the buckels are only available in blk.
