Sorry if this is a re-post, i'm sure it has been asked before. Anyone have the URL of a good set of instructions on how to build an AR/M4 type rifle? I'm going to be starting a build next year, and I know its not real hard, but pics or a description would help.

Thanks.

Assembling a lower is not really hard. But the upper is where the men are separated from the boys. I always buy factory assembled uppers since I have no need for specialty barrels.

I think AR15.com has links to basic lower assembly. I printed those off since I only assemble a lower once in a great while.

That's the link from AR15.com. It's fairly straightforward but I did run into problems with some vague areas. I couldn't figure out how to get the selector switch installed. I ended up taking it apart then installing the selector. Then when I was playing around with it, I found out that you need to pull the hammer back to the lock position before the selector can fit.

The other thing that got me was the bolt catch spring and the disconnecter spring. The pictures don't really show the differences between the springs. Here's a better pict of the two.
