Give us more than an hour, and give us pictures that work.

Looks like this (https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=49163) topic that has the exact same title as your thread and should be of some assistance. I used the orange search button to find "KAC RAS real or fake."

Pics are up. I bought the 07 model from Del-ton a couple years back. I just got the 06 model yesterday. The 06 model has thicker markings and are not as white as the 07 and w/o a cage code. Thats what got me questioning.

Does it have the Knight in the heat shield?

Yes and it also has the arrow with forward in it.

Yes and it also has the arrow with forward in it.

I would be satisfied with it then.

Del-ton is an active dealer with us and buys these on a consist basis. We (KAC) recommend purchasing our products from reliable sources like our website or dealers to avoid these sorts of dilemmas.

Del-ton is an active dealer with us and buys these on a consist basis, so I would say you're safe that it is an authentic rail.

He's not questioning the one from Del-Ton.

Thanks for the input. Do you any thoughts on the 06 model?

He's not questioning the one from Del-Ton.

He's aware of that and was pointing out that to avoid questioning, buy product from a referenced dealer. Obviously he got the one in question from an individual.

Did you pick up the rail from a questionable shop or store? If you picked it up from a reputable individual or dealer, then it is genuine. If you're questioning authenticity, it means you tried to save a buck or two on an item with an established knockoff market and now we have to play this "Real Or Not?" game.

Yeah I purchased from an individual and tried to save a buck. Well I guess I learned a lesson.

Did you look at the other thread with the same title? It shows the exact same rail and the consensus over there was that it was real.

Yes I did. Could the 06 be factory seconds with the thicker laser markings and the off white coloring?

As the proprietor of an Airsoft shop here in the states that buys and sells internationally, I'm going to say those rails are good to go.

I have two real KAC rails (same models as yours) and yours check out from what I see in the photos. Even the higher level Airsoft and counterfeit copies are missing little details.

Could you point me to some sites or pics that are fakes?

Quoting cmcflex (arfcom):

"A real RAS will have a patent number On the top rail, just to the muzzle side of the locking screw. There will also be a date code on the underside of the top rail. There should be KAC markings on the heat shield, but I think even airsoft copies may have that."
