So I went to a gun show today and a seller had a ton of usmc branded kac micro 200-600m buis for sale for $60 or $100 for a pair. At that price I couldnt pass up the deal for 2.
But then theres the question of are these possibly fakes. is there any way to tell just by looking at them if they are fakes? Until I get my computer back in operation im stuck on my smartphone and im not sure how to post pics from my phone.

Either fakes or stolen.

KAC has not sold the USMC marked sights on the commercial market.

A lot of stuff gets DRMO'd, so it's a possibility these were just purchased from the military. I have gotten Grip Pods and brand new Surefire M952 lights that were DRMO'd after they made the change to LED lights. I have even heard of NIB CompM2s, BCG, and someone a few years ago had some LPKs I believe.

Just go talk to him and feel him out. It would also help if you posted pics in case they are fakes.

They're def stolen. There's a few threads regarding the issue on the KAC forum on TOS. 3, Kevin, etc chime in and confirm as much.

So I went back to the gun show and the seller is sticking to his story about purchasing some surplus lots and these were with them. And the more I look at the ones I have and compare them to various pictures online im pretty sure these are the real deal.

If you need to post pics and can't figure it out, just email them to me from your phone and I'll post them for you. My email is my username @yahoo.com.

My assumption would be they're stolen, but who knows.

Stolen. Corps has a ton of these (even our useless garrison pogue rifles all wear them), but there aren't enough to go around.

Those do not look like the USMC micros i have seen. Those look like they were customized. The font that I have seen is different, as well as the windage marks.

Those look like the civi version with added engraving, or fake:

The ones that I have seen that are being called stolen look like this:

Cannot get a solid confirmation as to which one is stolen or which is fake. Also what I find odd is the hex head screw and not flat head.

I have one of each. One like the OP's and one like balloo93 posted above. Both have hex screws. They both have bigger windage nobs than the civilian version also.

I also have a 300m rear sight that I know is genuine kac and it has a flat head mounting head

These are the ones that I've owned. Alot of people are screaming "fake" but they are not. Go to Ebay and you'll find a ton of military issue KAC gear for cheap. Could be stolen. I'm not sure. I can't point the finger without knowing the truth but I'm 99.9% sure they are genuine KAC. I've purchased a lot of KAC from Ebay and it's all been 100% legit and definitely KAC quality but at a fraction of the price. I was not aware that it was potentially stolen until just the past couple of days where I've been reading into it.. Good thing I've since sold almost all of my KAC things. I do find it a little disturbing that our boys overseas are probably going without while people are selling them to armchair commandos for 1/4 of the retail price.

EDIT: Yes, I would say both versions of the sights that say USMC are genuine Knights. I've asked a couple of different sources this week where they are getting the KAC gear and how much they have and they all have been saying they got it from a "surplus supply" or "storage unit". It's always the same answer. Also, you can find the Matech's for dirt cheap. Anything military issued.. which brings me to believe they are "extras" aka stolen Government property...?

Here's what mine looked like when I bought them (this is a random pic from Ebay but it looks identical if I remember correctly)

They are real, the fact that KAC won't dispute it is one clue; the second is that knock offs/fake's do not have the same degree of detail as the real ones. You compare the 'USMC" version with the hex screw to the KAC marked with the slotted screw and every tiny detail matches 100%.

I talked to KAC about a month ago and they confirmed these to be genuine. However they have never sold the usmc branded ones to the public and they must be stolen.

It very well could be, but in the sheer numbers that have been sold and by the numerous sellers. I will say that the MCLB, ICP, RSA's, and the multiple number of DSSC's have a serious logistics issue, in fact there has to be a system wide criminal organization in play to allow the amount of USMC gear that is available on the open market. I cannot even imagine the black market items being sold.

Is there a reason that KAC doesn't contact some of these internet companies that are selling these if they're stolen? I ordered one off of Amazon, as it was listed as surplus USMC inventory that was bought and now being resold. Wouldn't it be easy for KAC to contact websites like Amazon, eBay, and so on, letting them know that they have people selling stolen government property through their site? Mine is the one with the larger black USMC marked on it, with KAC and the KAC logo on it, and it definately seems to be the real thing, quality is excellent. I should've checked on here before I bought it.
