Surefire Flashlight Markings

I'm probably not the only one who has wondered why Surefire doesn't mark the model numbers on their lights. When someone asks me about a particular one I have, I have to look it up on Surefire's website, and compare pictures, before I can tell them which model it is. Either that or try to find the box it came in.

What gives?

I can't tell you why they dont mark all of them but my U2 is marked, So its not all of them.

As far as I can tell, only the plastic Surefires (the ones with the Nitrolon bodies) are unmarked, probably a property of it not being really worth the effort of having the moldings or whatever changed. All the metal ones are clearly marked on the body as to what model they are.

I have an older metal light, similar to the Z2, that isn't marked. My new G2 isn't either. Just wondering why they all aren't marked.
