View Full Version : SIG P239 9MM pistol poly vs. alloy
I am looking to buy a SIG P239 in 9MM. I can get a poly version 17.7 oz. Or an alloy version 25.2 oz. Both NIB the price difference between them is 0ne dollar. My question is that i will use this pistol for carry, witch one of the two versions would be more accurate, and reliable? For carry i would rather have the lighter pistol, but if the alloy is more accurate and reliable i will deal with the extra 8 oz. Advise me on what to buy please. :help:
Could you please clarify?
To the best of my knowledge they do not make a polymer frame for the 239...

Polymer 239. That's news to me. Either way, get the metal. It's proven.

Only the grips are polymer on that^^^. And someone needs to put that picture in the SIG facepalm thread.
how does that pistol only weigh 17 oz?

Holy lord that is ugly. Sig is a chronic embarrassment.
I also wouldn't trust the specs too much off Bud's website. They are notoriously inaccurate.

THAT is some homely shit. How the mighty have fallen...
+1000 on Sig's horrible choice in colors and marketing gimicks.
In about 3 years I bet SIG goes Late-Full-Retard and does a Zombie P239. It'll be their rainbow finish splattered with red paint.
Oh god I just got sick thinking about what that would look like.
