Were the MCAR's ever produced beyond prototypes?
No. There were 25 test weapon sets used in the initial trials and nothing additional was done after that
I didn't think so, I was curious, so I looked. The Indian press really banged on the Army brass for that solicitation - 'just because you've driven a car for twenty years, doesn't mean you can design one' was one of the milder sentiments I found.

That looks so much like something CAA would make.
Also I see no benefit, at least with the current stock you could fire it collapsed if you had to.
On the more normal side of things colt also has the 6 position tube for the mk18 that would show up on your standard production rifles from time to time
Yes sir. I should probably do a layout in the future to incorporate that and a rifle length receiver extension.

Why did the 4 pos extension even exist in the first place? I mean drilling those two extra holes seems more logical than not.
