"Fast" AR
With all the talk of recoil-reducing parts of late, and of parts that allow one to "go faster", I'm curious to hear what some of you think would make for the ideal "go faster" AR. What barrel, length, gas system, muzzle device, optic, stock (system), trigger, safety, etc?
If you combine all of the "fastest" parts, will they work together?

Drop in auto sear... Any barrel length.:D

Am interested in where this goes...but just dont have the experience with enough different systems to contribute.

Just buy/build a copy of the rifle Daniel Horner or Taran Butler uses.

The last build I did was nicknamed the "go fast" build. But I don't think it matches up with the idea behind shooting a lot of rounds very quickly. It was built with weight and recoil control as the primary factors.
The idea of "go fast" was to be able to quickly transition from target to target and move around without feeling over-encumbered.
BCM LW 16" upper with MOE hand guards and VLTOR A5 buffer. Right now it has a ACT trigger, but will be getting an SSA (which I can run very quickly) from another gun. I think a battlecomp would be nice, but is nowhere near necessary.
This is my go-to "fighting gun." I think a true "go fast" gun wouldn't be too different except to have a slightly heavier barrel (to absorb recoil) and perhaps slightly shorter to aid in target transitions.

God help us if a newbie posts this thread, rob s would be on him like white on rice.
Just so everything's fair.

18'' Rifle Gas w/ medium profile barrel.
Geissele SD3G / Ambi-Safety
JP Low mass Buffer / BCG
Whatever stock.
A 14'' or longer tubular rail with handstop.
SJC Titan or Surefire MB556K
EOTECH XPS or a 1-4X depending on if you need extended range. But for pure go fast purposes...EOTECH.
I'm pretty sure the above choices are self explanatory. Let me know if not.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Closest thing I currently own to the above is an 18'' BCM SS410 (rifle gas) with a Battlecomp, PRS stock (rifle buffer), SD3G, Aimpoint M4, and standard BCG / rifle buffer. Very soft shooting and all around "fast."
It's obviously not my go-to gun, and it was built specifically for "gaming" purposes, which I never really got into. Still a fun rifle to shoot though.

18" rifle gas
Reduced recoil system by JP or LOKI (low mass BCG, low mass buffer, adjustable gas block)
Swarvo 1-6 Z6i (I think) in a lightened larue mount
carbon fiber hand guard
ace skeleton stock
titan break or rolling thunder or whatever brake you like
JP trigger
and a man on a mission to destroy the competition

Oh I don't know but I have a Wilson ttu in my 10.5 inch and even though it's a single stage,I think it is heavily reliant on practicing trigger control long before it is reliant on gizmos. Learn what you have before relying on a mechanical aide.
Reset has a lot to do with it but if you don't understand you're gun, none of that matters. Choir has been spoken to.

Whatever JP does to build a 3-gun rifle.
