They're still in business? I figured they had gone under. At any rate, their website's not working. Perhaps later...
I saw a video on IG where they said they were going to do a release. Limited numbers, like less than 300. Made from “leftover” or extra parts they had in their warehouse. A few different barrel lengths, the standard and a “top loading” magazine model, IIRC.
I am really interested in this since it is the closest thing I will be able to get to a Stoner 63 (without forking over enough money to buy a nice truck).
So these are made from parts that they spent a decade telling existing customers in need of repairs didn’t exist? Brilliant.
I had one back in the early 00's. It ran fine but I don't think it had a chrome lined barrel. One thing I do remember about it was that all of the threaded parts had to be regularly tightened. I never got around to loc-tight-ing it before selling it for lack of use.
It seemed like a well built go-to-war rifle but my present SOCOM barreled AR does everything better, lighter and cheaper.
Id be extremely cautious before I would hand over money to a company that said " nope, no no more spare parts around here." then somehow found enough parts to reintroduce new, complete guns.Hard pass on this! FWIW, I predict we will see major issues, along with excuses from Robinson, with them even getting the spare/replacement parts they decide to sell to current owners of M96s.
I really wish someone had done an exact clone of the 63.
