I'll have to check one of these out. The Keurig is quick which I like but gets to tasting funky if I forget to clean it religiously (every 6 mos)

Here's what I've been trying out for my morning coffee.

Could not find the Kerrygold Unsalted Grass Fed Butter so I substituted it with Ghee which is Clarified Butter (Unsalted).

They say that 'curiosity killed the cat,' well this one got me curious that I had to try after reading about this Bulletproof Coffee. I must say that it's quite smooth.
We have a French Press, but I'm pretty lazy and like to use the Jura Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine for Lattes in the mornings...

CLHC,
Your most recent post here has pushed me to try the Aero Press. I just ordered the press, stainless steel filter and Porlex Mini grinder from Amazon. My espresso machine is a behemoth commercial boiler and costs more to heat up than it's worth for just one cup. Here's hoping I like the Aero Press better than a french press.
BTW, was the Civet Cat coffee worth the $? I'm still not sure I could bring myself to try it!
Hey cool for you on that Aerobie and sure would like to hear your thoughts on it. Lots of YouTube videos on the "how-to" Aerobie AeroPress which for me, the inverted method works perfectly.
The Kopi Luwak (Civet) is quite an interesting coffee beans of sorts. One simply has to try it out to experience the flavor unlike any. The Kopi Luwak is very smooth, earthy, nutty, chocolatey like in its flavor especially when one drinks it in black. Of course, if one is a casual drinker of coffee they may not even notice any difference in comparison to one who really enjoys coffee. Of course your taste buds may vary accordingly so.
Enjoy!
CLHC: Is that bullet proof coffee really as good as everything I am reading about it? Does it really give you the benefits they claim?
I would be about $40 to get the MCT oil and their coffee, I think I can find some type of butter at either a health food store or Whole Foods that would work. I got an aeropress already and a frother so I am set there.
I'm simultaneously reading this thread and crying...while drinking Southwest Airline's version 'coffee'.
I just started this Bulletproof Coffee this past weekend. Today I was able to find at Safeway the Kerrygold Grass-Fed Butter though it's not the Unsalted version. Now to me and my taste buds, this Kerrygold version tastes a whole lot better, smoother, creamier than with the Ghee. Just something one has to try. Something about this Kerrygold I tell you, makes the Bulletproof Coffee quite a great tasting cup of coffee.
Also, I noticed that I felt quite satiated for some 6~8 hours after drinking a mug (16 ounces) full of this Bulletproof coffee. I'll have to do more "experimenting" with it all the more to see how it really does. So far I'm really liking it and especially with the Kerrygold.
I too love bulletproof coffee. Gives me great energy and mental focus.
The Aero press arrived today.
The only coffee I have right now is a local roaster's Breakfast Blend. It's not the freshest but I got a pretty good cup with it using 185deg. water and about 12g. of coffee in a fine perc. grind(somewhere between drip and espresso).
I need to get more Tanzanian Pea Berry green beans to roast. I have a feeling this will make a nice near espresso shot with good fresh coffee.
CLHC,
How do you get the butter to whip up so nicely? I am using a cheap unsalted butter that I clarify myself. It whips up a bit but the foam goes flat very quickly.
