That right there sir is nasty, nasty! Just when you think you've seen everything in terms of configs. What are the specs? Paint scheme is wicked. Just needs a T-1.

MK2 and loving it. This is the first free float rail I've owned and I can't get over how easy it was to install and how rock solid it is. Initially I planned on going with a tube style rail, but the more I thought about how I like to hold the rifle and the more I looked at that bombproof mounting system, the more I realized there was only one way to go.
The upper started out as a rebarrel project for my 6721 with a 16" Colt SOCOM barrel. I already had a spare bolt carrier so obviously at that point it only made sense to just build a complete upper. Just waiting on a demiled carry handle that I bought off gunbroker that I'll chop into a rear BUIS.
MK 1 13". Great rail. I don't think there is a more solid rail mounting system available.

Sweet rifles guys.....and I agree, the barrel nut design and it's ferrari type tolerances are at the very core of what makes the SMR rails very unique. That said, the aesthetics of them are really unmatched imho. They are beautiful rails that incorporate the cutting edge of rail design, and do it in a bombproof package.
Whipping out an old school....a pre production MK1 15".

I just ordered up a 13" MK5. I'm ready to run my X300 at 12:00 again and have a clean 3,6, & 9:00. My VFG that I have to use to run my light at 3:00 drives me absolutely nuts when I'm walking with the gun slung.
I think they nailed the strength/weight on the MK5 but they dang sure didn't build 'em for looks and I think the Keymod deal is freekin retarded.
Couple of my rifles with Geissele Rails. 9.5 MK2 DDC, 10 Mk1 HSP Jack, and 10 MK1 DDC

What exactly do you consider to be retarded about it? I think it is one of the better things that has happened to rail systems.
Rail where you need it, none where you don't.
