Joe,
Outstanding job. Can't wait for the BLR.
Very nice!
A friend of mine has a Model 7 Kevlar stock variant, in 7MM-08. He swears by it, and many mulies and whitetails have died by it.
If I get another deer rifle, one like yours will be it. As usual, great work. :)
Neat, I think the 7mm-08 and the Model 7 work well together. My boss has one in that caliber just in case his wife ever wanted to go deer hunting.
If I had a Model 7 lying around, I definitely would have built it into 300 AAC instead of tearing down my Rem 700 to do it!
Looks great! A SWAT officer I used to hunt with had a very similar model 7 in 7mm-08...he was damn accurate with that gun and killed a lot of deer. Definitely a nice bolt gun!

Very nice! You do great work!
I treasure my factory 18 1/2" m7 in 7-08. They are the perfect deer gun.
I use something very similar, a Model 7 in .308 with a 2.5-8x Leupold on it. It's a great brush gun for WV hunting, and I've killed several whitetails with it. My dad's used one just like it, and another one nearly identical but chambered in 7mm08, for years. I think the Model 7 in general, and the 7mm08 in particular, is a best-kept secret for hunting medium-size game in brushy conditions.
Thank you all.
That's the perfect 200lb or less rifle thin skinned rifle. I'd like one with iron sights.
What is your opinion of the Model 7 vs 700 size wise.
