That is exactly the opposite of my experience with the 75s vs the 64s, and now 62s. Damn ballistic voodoo. I wish I would have know this before I shot up 1000 rounds of 64s; I would have traded with you.
The 75s border on match-grade in my guns. The 62/64s were average at best.
Has anyone used this round at distance, and if so, how well does it do for accuracy? Just got a Razor 1-10 on a 16" build and I'm curious how well the BDC markings work with 75gr. Unfortunately I'm not able to get out right now to actually check, so I'm wondering if anyone has experience. Much thanks!
Both the 64 and 75 gr GD shoot really well from my 11.5 & 16” guns; 1.5 MOA as a rule at 100.
I have shot the 75’s to 300 and was getting groups of 5” (windy).
Velocity mirrors ggammell’s post.
Two weeks back I shot an LPVO equipped 11.5” gun from bench with 77 gr. OTM (IMI), which I carry in that gun- and with the 75 gr GD.
My hope was interchangeability between the cartridges, with close POI between them for “practical” accuracy.
The GD printed, at most, 1.5” lower/right from the 77 gr group- which was a pleasant surprise.
I have no clue if what I observed is “transferable”, gun to gun.
I average 2471 FPS with an 11.5" Centurion Arms barrel with a SureFire can; 2611 FPS with a 14.5" CA also with a SureFire can. Averaging about 1 MOA at 100 yards for both guns.
For 62 gr. Gold Dot, I was getting 2536 FPS in the 11.5" suppressed, 2759 with the 14.5" suppressed. Fusion MSR was 2825 FPS out of the 14.5" suppressed. Accuracy with both were ~1.5 MOA.
