This is a picture of my dad's Marlin 101 Ring-Pull .22lr. I believe it was made sometime between 1960 and 1966. It's in rough shape, but it still works. One of these days I'll clean it up a bit. Not sure if it would be worth restoring.

Thanks!
The Savage MK II action requires a lot of inletting and mass produced stocks like this one don't have much wood left to secure the action to. I came up with a way to address that which I posted the details on at rimfire central here. With Geco LR ammo (about $6 for a box of 50), it will do this at 50 yards;

I took the leap and upgraded from my Savage MKII to something I will never need to replace. I have only had it for 5 weeks, but I have put over 600 rounds through it and competed with it twice, my scores in NRL22 took me from no better than 10th to top 5 in our league. I am beyond pleased with my new Vudoo.

bnnaphone, please explain what that is....it is gorgeous!!!!
Thanks JimP! It is a Vudoo .22 LR in a Grayboe Ridgeback stock from Vudoo gun works. It is a .22 patterned after the Remington 700 so you can swap any aftermarket triggers and stocks. It uses magazines patterned after AI mags to allow shooters to use these rifles as trainers to their centerfire counterparts, and makes mag changes easy. They are pricey, but incredibly accurate and well-made. I use mine in local NRL22 matches every month.
This rifle gets more use than all of my others combined! It is an absolute blast to shoot and encouraging to know the little bullet will actually land where you mean to place it.
Nice!! Which scope is that?
It currently has an Athlon Midas Tac 6-24x50 but I am waiting for a new Razor 3-18x50 with EBR-7C reticle. I like the Athlon, it has clear glass and a very useful reticle but the Razor is so easy to get behind (I have a Razor 4.5-27x56 on my centerfire rifle). I have struggled to get a good sight picture with the Athlon in some of the positions we need to shoot from.
Nothing fancy but a good shooting rifle just the same. Remington Model 597 with a Boyd's Varmint stock. Ordered the walnut pre-finished, which I didn't like so it got stripped and oiled. The only other modification was the Volquartsen extractor.
A couple more pics. She is finally set up and will stay this way for a long time. Same rifle but with a 4.5-27x56 Razor with EBR-2C MIL reticle. I was going to use the EBR-7C but it is a bit cluttered around the center dot with the .2 MIL hash marks at either side for wind holds. I have no problem getting a clear picture on the 25 yard targets, just turn down the magnification a little, and the eye relief is awesome! I don't mind the weight, it is actually beneficial on the unsupported stages in NRL22.

I swapped out the Grayboe stock for an MPA Comp chassis and did some extended range shooting over the weekend with a new tripod setup. I set 12" and 6" steel plates at 270 yards and had stellar conditions = no wind. That tripod with the RRS Anvil 30 just holds my rifle so steady it's like shooting prone. It is a great combination, especially coupled with Center X. Great day! As pictured, the rifle weighs 15.5 pounds (with scope, silencer and full magazine).

Being as I sold my old one, and my Charger takedown is a "pistol" my USMC/US Army surplus Remington 513-T is now my only rimfire rifle. The .22LR is quiet out of a 27" barrel...

I encouraged a buddy to get in on the Vudoo fun and we had a range day recently. You can't really have more fun than a private range, KYL rack, a brick of quality .22LR and one of these things.

I put this together for my little guy a few years ago when he wanted something like one of my AR's. He's much bigger now, but it's still a fun one to shoot golf balls with.

German Bundeswehr G33, made by Anschütz in 12/56. It is built on the 54 Match system and is a single shot .22 l.r. It has a generic front sight hood on it now for range use, since the original costs something like $150 and is safely stored, as is the sling.

Stamp came back so this guy is ready for action. I selected a Volquartsen Summit toggle action receiver, then I installed a 9" KIDD barrel and KIDD 2-stage trigger. I already had the Boyd's Tacticool stock on hand and wanted to keep the form factor compact. I chopped a couple inches off the front of the stock so you can easily grab the end of the can to install or remove. Next, I opened up the barrel channel to fit the Silencer Co. Specter II can and keep it from making any contact. Since I like all of my fingers, I secured a Magpul hand stop to keep them safe.
To stay with the close-range intent, I chose a PST 1-4x24 scope with MIL Quad reticle. In all, I am very pleased with how it turned out. Accuracy is great to 75 yards, which is my intended longest shots for this guy. Beyond that, I just don't have the magnification to be as accurate as I want for small game.
