1942 Springfield Armory. Bought it in unfired condition at a gun show. Its the best rifle i have ever owned!
Just acquired this baby via a trade... looking forward to a little range time tomorrow morning, as long as things stay on track.
Springfield serial number puts it in '43, which makes it 27 years older than me, 4 older than my dad. There's something I just have to respect in this rifle...
