I’ve heard very bad things about their BM-59.
They’ve got quite high prices, standard M14 costs about as as much as the Colt SP1 i’ve been trying to find for years.
Plus JRA says the only assemble them, another company makes them, and it’s all new manufactured parts which I don’t like. I like GI parts.
I hear ya. I'm not here to carry any water for them - I can just say that many others are happy with theirs and I'm happy with mine. There were problems early on, but they seem to have been worked out. They do represent something of a risk compared to Springfield.
As far as the parts, that's personal taste. USGI are nice, but Bula Defense, which makes the parts JRA uses, provides M14 parts to the military for their rifles. I'd say they're just as solid if not more so than old military parts.
All that said, if it was a choice between a brand new, unproven JRA and an older, proven Springy for $300 less...SA every time.
