Tenicor makes some nice low profile AIWB holsters. Very happy with mine. A lot smaller than a 1911, though.

Weak/support hand lifts cover garment.
With that though, could training like that cause issues if you need weak hand for other reasons, such as fending off someone or that limb is incapacitated?

Well that's why you train both.
Normally yes, support hand clears cover garment, and you draw, and hands meet, and press out.
But I also train strong hand only, which I think is very important for many reasons/scenarios.
For me, that means firing hand sweeps cover garment away, in sort of a circle, up from about 11:00o'clock, then back over the gun, and draw. Keeps the cover garment from interfering.

Carrying at 4oclock I just use one hand currently to bring cover garment out of the way and the grab gun.
I can see though aiwb how much easier two handed would be.
