Knights Armament @ SHOT 2012 by SMGLee

Looks like HK has some nice toys coming out. Awesome pics as usual SMGLee.

Buying one of those 14.5" uppers, minus the lower, to have pinned with a SF K brake. That with an SR-15 lower should be nice.

The extremely short and absolutely brand new 308 can by KAC features a end cap flash hider to eliminate any signature that might have exit the suppressor.

Mr. Knight's [url=http://www.instmiltech.com/]Institute of military Technology[/url is to collect, preserve, and interpret historically significant properties relating to the technical and tactical development of armored warfare. The museum also collects vehicles and other memorabilia that have significance for both military and civilian. IMT does not glorify war but is focused on the education and preservation of these disciplines for future generations.
The Museum's core missions cover 3 main areas to ensure the work that is performed is to the highest quality:
PRESERVE historically significant artifacts and the memories of those who designed built and maintained them to act as a living memorial to those unsung heroes. Click here to learn how to help with IMT preservation efforts.
EDUCATE civilians and military professionals regarding the development of modern warfighting technologies and tactics. Click here to learn more about how you can help spread information supplied by IMT.
MOTIVATE the public to take a more vested interest in preserving military history so the story of how and why modern day designs were achieved.

Does ITAR concern itself with photos taken of defense articles by non-US nationals, or is that sign just "Keep Out, Vicious Dogs" bullshit?
-
Awesome photos brother, its much appreciated!
-
Wow very nice!
I wonder how heavy they are though. They look heavy.

Awesome pictures, thanks!
-
Why are they all tied down?
-

SMGLee...thanks so much for always doing such a spectacular job with all these SHOT pics.
Apparently HK didn't get the memo....Skinny Jeans are the rage right now, those rifles look soooo heavy, the rails on the 416/417 rifles really have me scratching my head.
Thankfully those don't get me at all excited since we can't even own them as U.S. civies anyways. Either way, I'm still a 100% HK handgun guy so I'm not a total hater:)
-
the gray and green guns look nifty. Florida Gun Exchange always brings a tan SR-15 to every gun show, its a joy to handle....KAC does a really good job with the coloration.
anyhow, does the triple tap equipped gun have a background story?
-
So those new suppressors are in 5.56 too?
Also good ole KAC, just a buy a damn PRS and be done with it, stop pushing that retarded stock on the military.
-
I guess they're letting the PDW die since nobody is interested in the caliber they made for it (or made the PDW for).
Too bad it looked like a nice design. :(
-
Thanks for the pics. What pack you sporting there?
-
How many headshots to get the gold camo? :p

It's a f**king TRAGEDY...the 6x35mm certainly isn't a paper tiger either. I sick and tired of wanting a PDW to be perfectly honest, but the more I can't have it, the greater my affinity grows for it:(
The KAC LP rifle/upper is a very, very nice addition to the lineup!
-
All their stuff looks heavy
-
Nice pics!
I like the adjustable stocks on the G36s. Was always my biggest issue with the G36s that I got to shoot, in just light clothes they were pretty easy to shoulder and shoot, with anything heavy though they really kind of sucked to get a proper fit for the rifle. Looks quite good too.
-
-
As for moving all those controls INSIDE the trigger guard of the G36, Id rather have them in an unergonomic position than an unsafe one.
-
Thanks for posting these. Did they give you any lead times on when these become available? What do you think of the new URXIII panel accessories?
-
THANK YOU!!!!
SMGLee, thank you for the start of the incredible pics that are coming from your camera to our homes or duty posts!!!
I really like the attempt to have the telescoping stock to the G36, although it looks a bit off compared to the originals, but that its adjusting and still a skeleton stock is nice...but I will keep my original for now~!

As a trivia, color scheme on G28 is same camo color that used by Rommel's Afrika Korps in WWII. This is what Bundeswehr requested for use in A-stan - not HK's idea.
-
And some of the guns were tied down to avoid folks opening them up. Some guns were available to handle behind the counter if you asked.
-
Thanks for the pics, a great job as always.

URX 3.1 is 13.5", no integral front sight.

Words cannot express the beauty of that SBR. I'm broke again....

The panels at the show were machined, just to get them ready in time. The result is that I personally thought they were extremely aggressive to the point of chewing up my hands.
Now that said, the finished ones will be molded which means they'll still be aggressive but won't be sharp. I still like the Delrin handstop, as I wear a glove and like the rails as thin as possible. But as a production items it's a cool idea all things considered.
-
@Heartbreaker,
thumbs up from Germany:thank_you2:!

ITAR is not only about goods itself. It is also about design, parameters, how it works, etc. If something did not notice fall of communism, ITAR for sure did not.
-
Whew... I was getting worried there would be no SMGLee SHOT Show pics...
I am digging all the HK stocks. The G28 looks like a boat anchor weight wise. I'd still use one if they gave it to me!
Any dirt on the MR762?
Spooky

Thanks, Titleist - I'd like to try the molded ones out when they become available. I think I'd probably agree about just going with the handstop, though.
