If you could buy a mint SCAR w/ just a few mags thru it for $1800-$1900 dollars would you do it. Lets say you already have your 5.56 bases covered and you are definitely not rich but do have the money!!:secret:

If you have the disposable cash and a test fire of the Scar is perfect it all comes down to how much you really want it.
For the price it sounds like you could always get your money out of it plus you would have the experience of shooting one for awhile if you decided you didn't need it after all.
Depends, SCAR-L....no way. SCAR-H.... Hell yeah.
I just dont see any reason to pay $1800 for the SCAR-L when i can build an AR for the same price that includes mags and optics
You will not find any SCAR for $1800 any time soon, so you should jump on it if you can.
Honestly, at $1800, there has to be an "issue" or two...
Heavy for sure.
It depends on why you want it. Personally I am a collector and shooter. I have an engineering background and personally like having my own reference collection. The SCAR series fills this niche for me. If you just want something different, for your own personal collection/enjoyment, and have your bases covered for your go-to/utility rifles, then yes I say buy a SCAR-L for $1800 and enjoy it.
I would.
They were selling the blemished ones for around 1900.00
If you want it for collectors value, or if you want to try it out, it's virtually guaranteed that you won't lose money on it.
Personally though, I'd put that $1,800 towards a SCAR17.
I'd buy another right now for that price.
I bought my SCAR-L for that same price two years ago. $1800 was a great deal then and it's a good deal now.
