Well, tomorrow anyhow. Recoilweb had a preview. I'm interested in what that trigger will feel/break like.

Looks like the love child of a 1911 and Steyr, but adding in the blockiness of the Glock grip to boot.
ETA: Would be ah...fun trying to activate a weapon light mounted on that rail...
Definitely looks and sounds fantastic. I hope it is all it's claimed to be. Looking forward to seeing it put to action.
I wonder whats up withe ginormous railed dustcover??
Looks sexy AF. I assume that is aluminum or that is one soft kicking gun!
Yeah there's a lot of mystery in that there dustcover.
I'm not as big on styling as I used to be, have become more of a form follows function guy, but..... that thing is a little bit of a turn on. "Same" enough, and yet-- "different" enough. Sofar I like it. Let's have guessing contest on the dust cover. No idea but I'll start:
Shot counter.
I "think" I like it.... but I know for sure, that beaver tail would slice up my jelly rolls like a gut hook!
Wow, looks very interesting. Looking forward to some reviews. I think it looks well thought out for the most part.
Looks interesting. Of course so did the Arsenal Strike One.
Wish them the best of luck.
I wish them well and best of luck also, but unless there is something really unique and special about it that sets itself well apart from the competition, its just like getting another new pizza place in town.
This gun looks awesome! By that I meant the trigger and the stock sights. It looks like a gun that is GTG right OTB.
I'm very curious about the dustcover also. It's going to make it much more difficult to make holsters for and will add to the bulk of the holster. This is the first thing every holster maker is saying. It's doable but much hard than a glock, SW, HK, etc... holster. If carrying AIWB most will make to move the gun more towards the centerline of the body.
If you plan to run a light on your gun it really changes the game and I see this as a major downside. I played around with my glocks last night imagining using my X300U or TLR1 mounted that low and it's just plain awkward. Maybe I'm missing something. And again it really creates and odd holster. Depending on the ride height of your IWB holster if you want a holster that allows you to get a good grip on the top of the light bearing holster will be well below the beltline. My first thought was they were mounting a light in the dustcover but with the pictures I've seen that doesn't appear to be the case.
Definitely excited to see more info on this guy get dropped at shot. Looking forward to trying one out when it becomes available.
Info is live on the Hudson website now

It's kinda like a 9mm striker fired 1911 with some extra goodies thrown in. Big heavy SOB at 34oz unloaded though...
Looks cool but they lost me at $1100. To be fair, I'm not knocking the gun or the price but I don't need a $1k+ toy and I have all the practical carry guns I need

My guess for the dust cover is that the recoil system needs the room. A short but fat recoil system. The take down lever looks pretty close to the front of the gun, taking up some space there.
Before I pass judgement I'll have to read few reviews from people I trust and handle one in a shop first. The looks, price and weight are off putting but we'll see. The looks can be adjusted to but the price and weight maybe not. How about magazines?
Really interested in the wonky dust cover, and what's going on there...
I'll admit, if my local rental range gets one I'll put a few rounds through it.
One thought is that rail is gonna be a little funky for a light being so low. Light controls look like they'd be down around your ring finger level...
I can't wait to see the linkage to the guide rod/recoil assembly...I've never seen one so far below the bore.
At first I thought maybe it had an integral laser or flashlight but apparently not.
I'll be this is one smooth shooting gun.
I don't shoot USPSA - would this be approved as a production gun? It looks pretty nose heavy, might that be the aim?
Just based on looks, and me being shallow, I think it looks damn cool. I would not be shocked if we see Hollywood using this in the next few years.
All vanity aside, I bet it's damn near one of the softest shooting 9's on the market. I really want to shoot one.
If they actually make it to market and work, I will buy one.
Color me interested, but I'm definitely going to have to stop and think for a moment about how to interface with a Surefire under that giant rail. I'm oddly reminded of the VP70 carried by the Colonial Marines in Aliens.
The video I saw shows a pretty standard recoil system sitting very low in the dust cover. I didn't see any unusual linkage. Looks like the spring sits against the frame.
I'm just shocked that so many gun folks are optimistic and supportive. Usually anything new and unusual looking is immediately hated on sight.
My only concern is light placement and use. Even a low-profile Surefire XC1 could be hard to activate. But what do I know, it might be much ado about nothing.
EDIT: LEDs are getting pretty small. Maybe a drop-in weaponlight that replaces the guide rod? Looks like there's enough room for batteries in there.
I would be interested in a integral light just to streamline things...appears not the case.
While different to the eye, it looks well executed.
I hope that they have the magazines well thought out. Maybe they use Glock mags. The production machinery would be interesting to see. I wonder how many parts are outsourced? I have no data/no information. My guess and it's only a guess is that the sub assemblies will be made by various suppliers and the gun put together in Temple. Heat treating? QC?
They're metal doublestack 9mm mags. Not sure if they're proprietary or if they used commonly available mags from another platform.

I thought this was interesting. A G17 slide is 1.18" wide, but that doesn't account for the total frame thickness.

I live close to Temple, which is/was the location of Legion Firearms. Is it coincidental that the Hudson H9 outfit is in Temple? This link about Legion may or may not be news to you.

Not digging the styling at all, looks like a Hi Point humped a 1911.
I'd love to play with one, but I dont see owning one ever.
The low bore line reminds me of the new Kalashnikov pistol

Now, see this is where folks are different, I was Meh about the Hudson's looks, but I think that Kalashnikov looks badass.
I looked at the Hudson site, do anyone know if the grips are compatible with 1911 grips? Looks like it.
Like the concepts of the 1911 grip and trigger, combined with a striker. But $1100 and the fact that it isn't really useble with WMLs, makes its a range toy/novelty.
