Good stuff guys.
All I've got is the Scotia state run range here in centre county, but still good people and fairly easy to work with except for the rule about no more than 6 rounds in a pistol and I think 3 in a rifle (WTF?) There's a private place nearby, but it's expensive and I'm poor so I've got nothing to report on it.

This is a really nice facility, has space to shoot out to 1000 yards with pit targets. Good crew of guys working on it too.

Is the American Range still operated by Larry? Any IDPA or organized shooting taking place there these days?
Tell me more about your range. I am only 45 minutes from American.
i live in columbiana county. not sure what's going on at american indoor now days. as far as i know, larry is still the man to talk to. great people there. my range is still being built, but it's 100% shootable. it's just hard to get dump loads of dirt in the middle of winter. more or less just a good target range... like i said... it's still in the works. where are you from? nevermind... akron it is!
This kind of networking is great - just what I was hoping would occur.

Hey guys, I have been looking everywhere and personally just getting mad that I can't find anything. I need a club to shoot at least one hundred yards farther if possible for AR and out door pistol. I am in Mentor Ohio. If anyone knows of a good one please let me know. Thank you.

this is the range i belong to great place
Topton Fish and Game. I just joined my department here. I was pretty impressed. They want the local PDs here unlike some of the other clubs in my area that are more into it for the drinking establishment than the ranges. Lost of IDPA stuff here.

Thanks everyone for the info. I still can't really find any ranges around here (Findlay/Fostoria area) so I still have to go to Toledo for that. Unless I find someone around here with a huge field/backyard.
My wife will be going to school in Waverly, WV. She has her own AR and 1911, and has what training the Army has given her as well as a couple of Tiger Swan courses under her belt. Any help in finding a place to train will be greatly appreciated.
Around Cleveland I've been to:
http://www.sherwinshootingsports.com/
http://www.stonewallrange.com/
Sherwin's range isn't real long but they've got 14 or 15 stalls, the folks there are great, and it's 10 minutes from work so I can literally go during lunch :).
The few times I've been to Stonewall the lines for shooting were out the door. They've got an enormous selection, though, so if you're in the market to buy/fondle up here, they're likely to have what you want.
Some ranges near to me (Philadelphia area):

Only has 30 yard range for rifle, Has pully system for hand gun no restrictions on how many rounds in mag. Safe always a range officer watching to make sure no one is being stupid.
State Run Range in Goldsboro (no website)
100 and 50 yard for rifle and 30 for hand gun
Nice range but people abuse it leave garbage etc. Limited to 3 rounds per mag in rifle,4 in pistol. I keep a 30 round mag on me at all times just incase shtf. Your responsible for your own safety so your watching every one its better to bring some one with you. My suggestion is to go on a weekday and not the weekend too many wanna be rambos.

I have been meaning to check out both of these places for a while now, but haven't had the chance.
Also in the greater Philadelphia area:
Philadelphia Archery & Gun Club - http://www.philadelphiaarcheryandgunclub.com/
I am a member here. Nice 50' indoor range in south Philly. They allow AR's and shotguns as well, and have no problem with practicing draws, drills, etc, which a lot of ranges prohibit. Open to the public for $15/day plus ammo. (Members shoot for free and can use their own ammo.)
Wicen's Shooting Range - http://www.wicenshootingrange.com/
Nice outdoor rifle/pistol range about an hour north of Philly in rural Bucks County. Range rules are strict, but not the worst I've seen. Must pay a $7 "certification" fee the first time there, and then it's $15/day.
Targetmaster - http://www.targetmaster.com
Very nice facility on the PA/DE border. 75' indoor range with 15 lanes. Lots of great rentals available, including full-auto. $15/day range fee.
If anyone in the Philadelphia area wants to schedule a range day, let me know. I'm am always up for it!
