At $1199, it is by far the most expensive crossbow scope ever made. While it is exciting that Trijicon has taken notice of the growing crossbow market, I think the ACOG is the wrong platform for this. Too much of its cost goes into making it battle rugged. It is designed to survive abuse that no crossbow could ever survive.
I'd much rather an Accupoint with the same reticle in the front focal plane.
And why do we need a 1k plus optic to shoot a crossbow to the extream range of 100 yards?
Cross-bows are Fun to shoot, I have one that is 375 Feet p/s and It went through a Huge hay-bale target, then through my wooden fence..I stopped shooting it in my back-yard...$1000 for a CB optic is to rich for me since your stopping power is about 75-yards.....Looks cool though..
And here it had been insinuated that there would be some cool 1->4x accupoints with some stadia lines.
Looks like Leupold might have a winner in that realm....
Disappointing..... ughhhh!
Just got done watching TOS' video segment from Trijicon and got a bit excited at the TARS and the SRS looked neat. I then went to look some specs on them. Go figure the TARS MSRP is $4000 dollars and the SRS is a little under $1100. I think they hired the guy who priced the Mk8 form Leupodld. Talk about disappointed. With the strides people have made in the 1-4, 1-6, 1-8 and even 1-10 area, I was really hoping that Trijicon would in the least up their offerings in the 1-4 arena. FFP with ranging capability isn't that much to ask for.
I know its not Trijicon but it does meet the check list off FFP and now with capped turrets in MOA only:angry:. MSRP $799
