Yep, and what's more the 1X on top sits well above the already tall, already heavy 1-4X which makes cheeck weld pretty weird and further throws off balance. In contrast a RDS mounted above the eyepiece of an ACOG is able to sit a little lower because the eyepiece is so much smaller. The Elcan SpectreDR is a great optic at 4X. It's too bad the weird internal 1X didn't work better.
it surprises me that the fixed 4x model isn't more popular, since it is a great optic. Probably just not the motivation in the market to try something other than an ACOG in that market segment.Quote:
