Soooo, if you get enough data and middie bolts are lasting 20k rounds, are you just going to go ahead and make the E3 bolt lifetime warrantied? :D

This is just for general info, no connection with my day-job.
The middie thing comes up often, and a pretty common and acute criticism is: where's the data regarding increased lifespan to support that claim?
I know that there are dudes that have run middies for a while now, and I consider 20k to be an upper limit of expectation, as by that time the barrel is most likely shot-out.
Edited the poll to hopefully open up some more responses
Once I win the next Powerball (of if that old hag sends me money) I will get another middy and shoot the piss out of it. Unfortunately I have been shooting too much carbine, SBR and rifle stuff.
I can't remember the last time I actually owned a midlength........
I have a BCM BFH 16" Mid-Length with a little over 10,000 rounds through it without a bolt failure. I clean and inspect it after every shooting session and so far no cracks or breaks.
I can't comment yet because I only have a few thousand rounds through my mid length with DD chromed BCG. If ammo wern't so damned expensive, or I was being paid to shoot it, I certainly would have more brass collected. I'll post when the darned thing breaks.
KAC built 16" Midlength (Armalite style middy gas 1:7 Wylde Chambered Douglas SS barrel)

I had over 18k thru it -- using LMT Improved Bolt.
Used in Canada, US, Afghan and Iraq.
Sold it as it could not leave Iraq :( - buddy who got it put another 5k before the barrel was utterly toast, bolt did not fail.
Had a spare Colt M4 bolt in the MIAD, but never needed.
Ammo used
Swiss GP90 (3,000)
CF issue C77 ball (3,500)
HandLoad 75gr (500)
Handload 77gr Nosler (750)
Georgia Heat 55gr (5,500)
Federal GM 69gr (1,500)
M855 (1,500)
Mk262 Mod0 and Mod1 (2,500)
M995 AP (aprox 75 rds)
Most was shot semi-auto, however around 14 mags where fired auto back to back out the back of our CAT vehicle (GPMG went down hard) and 2 mags of Mk262 where fired auto for function testing when I got a bunch of it available.
20 rds of M995 where fired for function (delinked SAW Black belts), and 2 28rd mags where fired after.
Big Red's LT 16" middy Stealth had around 12k thru it IIRC, before he opted for M79 and Mk18
