What powder are you using for these? My 8208 xbr is getting low and have a decent amount of cfe 223. Loaded up some with 25 gr of cfe to test.

Shot a round of the 87 gr Black Hills ammo for comparison today. (using the same guns and jug set up)

Frag was massively more impressive. All that I could recover from the first jug's gel:

The BH load fragged beautifully. I should have video'd it. I'm probably going to load my house gun with that stuff. The 69 gr is no slouch though. I wouldn't be upset if that was all I had.
I see an 87 and an 89 grain bullet in the above posts. Are these typo's??
Years ago, Black Hills used the 77 Nosler Custom Competition in their MK262 loads. Is that still the case?
Those are 87 grain Barnes bullets.
Yes. 87 gr. The 89 gr is a typo. I think someone is going to actually make the bullet component available for reloaders. I'll have to text my buddy and ask him if it was Barnes. I think he had a part number, but it wasn't available.
I'm not sure which bullet exactly they use for MK262, but Nosler and Sierra are so close, it's indistinguishable.Quote:
