I have need for an interchangeable holster/mag system, I'm looking at G-Code RTI and Safariland QLS options and I'm wondering the pro/cons of each from those that used them. Wondering which way to go if at all.

My only experience is with QLS, but I have found it to be reliable but a touch...loose. It is easy to lock in and take out but tends not to be real snug in terms of lockup. Personally I kind of equate it to upper/lower fit (total hogwash type stuff). It works and is reliable. I tend to look at holsters like mags. I have a duty holster and training holsters.
G code looks good but I am heavily invested in QLS. FYI I think for mags, most tend to use MLS because it is smaller.
Tagged for interest.
I went through this years ago and there were a few comparisons online the , but I’ve barely seen anything since. Ultimately I found that according to others, RTI was a tad lower profile so despite the increased cost, I went that way. I’ve never messed with QLS so I don’t really know, but an ALS holster with an RTI backer has been a fantastic solution IME.
ETA - this is for holsters. Mag pouches are Tacos so I don’t screw around with that shit.

I went with Safariland QLS. The only reason being as an LEO, the Sam Browne belt is 2 1/4" wide. G Code doesn't make a belt mount over 2". Otherwise, I would likely have gone with them, rather than the QLS.
When I no longer have need of a Sam Browne, I will likely transition over. I do use their Scorpion soft shell mag pouches on Molle type gear though.
G-code all day. The lock up is rock solid, you have way more possibilities to accessorize (mule, DLS, the new drop and strap belt mount, etc). Their customer service is great, and their holster selection is sufficient. You can choose a holster for a G17 with RMR cut for an example, and you don't even have to sell a vital organ to afford it.
I run the G-Code. I'm happy with it.
I run G-Code RTI and HSGI Tacos. At one time, I was switching between 1911s, Glocks, Sigs, and H&Ks depending on who I was training with. The combination was excellent for accommodating multiple pistols and holsters. I’m no longer training as much as I once did and it’s for personal betterment so I am no longer into modularity as I once was.

Same here after looking at a friend's RTI vs. my QLS, though for what it is worth most anyone looking for concealment would do well to look elsewhere.
I have noticed the slight QLS looseness also and consider it a non-issue as well. Only handled the RTI once so can't comment on it.
I have never used QLS, just recently put a battle belt together and went with RTI.
I have both. The QLS mounts are on my duty belt. It is a lot quicker to remove the holster when it is on the QLS. This is helpful when I have to go into jails. I just leave the gun in holster in my patrol car instead of using the jail lock box.
The RTI is a good piece of gear, but the QLS works better for my current needs.
I have used QLS on my duty belt for a couple of years now. It does have some play in the lockup. I have never found that it posed any sort of risk. I have been in fights where my full body-weight and the full weight of others has landed on the holster with no damage. I've had my holster pulled on with no result. I have no doubt at all in regards to the security of the holster.
I have bought a concealment holster from G-Code before, their customer service was phenomenal. I had been in an off duty shoot and my holster was in an evidence locker. Needing a new holster immediately I contacted G-Code and when I told them about my situation they expedited the heck out of my order. While I don't have direct experience with the RTI system I have nothing but love for the holster I got from them and their customer service.
I’ve used both. Both are good kit. I currently use QLS for holsters and use RTI for an accessory on my carrier. I’d bring the choice down to your holster needs and which is better for you. Both work fine. Bear in mind there are several outstanding holster makers who offer both systems as options for their gear so you’re not locked into the holsters only available from G-Code and Safariland.
Funny you bring that up, I was thinking the same thing today and if nothing else is an excuse to try them both, which is the opposite reason I started this thread. I was hoping to narrow it down to one but obviously both are worthy systems. I was leaning toward QLS for the holsters and RTI for mags, etc. My holster for this exercise are Safariland ALS
I have had great success with the QLS System. No issues, great fit, and I haven't broken anything yet lo. I also have a few training buddies with the RTI system and they swear by it.
I feel your decision will come down to the overall cost. The QLS is a little cheaper, but I like the lock-up on the RTI.
I've had a great time with the QLS and an ANR Design holster.
I’ve used the RTI for like a decade.
But G Code’s customer service sucks balls.
QLS. I just like the system better. Safariland stuff is great. I've actually used the MLS system on G-Code holsters, the accessory fork matches the two bolts ona G-Code.

G Code has always been a nice system for me. I see others have criticized their CS...I've never used it, but IIRC the last time I bought something from them it took forever to ship.
Safariland's system is just tonka-tough. But I might be biased.

I run Safarilands. Many of mine have been bought used, some, used HARD. But they have been around a long time and so can be found reasonably. Just this last weekend I was a a flea market for example and found a Safariland for a Glock 34 and Streamlight holster with a QLS fork- $15.....Anytime I have needed any support- a screw, a hood, small parts etc....Safariland has been great to deal with. Can't say that I have ever seen one fail in any of the classes etc...I have been in.
