NICE STUFF! I'm assembling a few "retro-ish" kids as well..
Cool. The Colt retro on "Fargo" was lethal.
Cuban model AR10 made in 1957. It is a C&R gun and was transferred directly to me after a year's wait. I think it was UPS that delivered it and it was left on my doorstep with no signature.
The gun is nearly un-fired and came with the original leather sling. However, the sling is tucked away somewhere so that it does not degrade in the dryness of the gun safe.
This is the early sub 7lb gun with no provision for mounting a bayonet or using a blank fire adapter. Many folks think the barrel is aluminum but the Dutch made the weight low using highly fluted steel barrels. The flutes are scary.

I thought I would post some current pics of the Retro family.

Here is my Vietnam era "Rubber Duck" Training Rifle with Imperial M7 bayonet. The CK forge code dates it to the 1972-73 time frame.

This heavy barreled AR10 was developed in 1959 by Artillerie Inrichtingen for use by the Dutch Marines. There might have been only a dozen or so made. This particular rifle is built on a US made Specialty Arms semi auto lower receiver manufactured in about 1984. The remainder of the gun is 100% original.
